CPR INSTRUCTION
HeartStart FRx provides the industry’s first and sole Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Instruction feature applicable to adults and children. This feature supports the first responder with detailed voice guidance during CPR.

INFANTS/CHILDREN KEY
By inserting the Infant/Child key into the FRx, you are signaling to the device that it applies to infants or children.
Based on this information, the defibrillator provides instructions for proper electrode placement and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
In addition, the electrode icons flash to indicate a suitable location for the electrodes, and the device reduces the shock energy to a level more suitable for an infant or child (less than 25 kg or less than 8 years of age).

PRE-CONNECTED SMART PADS II ELECTRODES
Electrodes for all patients. Pre-connected electrodes save valuable time in emergencies as they can be used by both adults and children.
SMART Pads II eliminates the expense of purchasing different sets of pads for different patient groups.
Moreover, they allow the FRx defibrillator to keep up with first responders, adjusting to their actions.

WIRELESS DATA TRANSFER
The FRx implements a mobile wireless data management system based on the Palm® portable platform. Its feature is an infrared port, which provides a convenient transfer of information without wires and problems with hardware compatibility.

PROVEN PLATFORM EASE OF OPERATION
Although the FRx is small in size and weight (only 1.5 kg), it is equipped with everything necessary to guide the resuscitation of the surgical patient in case of sudden cardiac arrest. HeartStart FRx guides every step with clear, calm voice commands and visual icons.
FRx even reminds you to call emergency medical services. Pressing the blue “i” button activates the CPR Instruction function. Flashing icons and a quick start guide drive you through all steps of defibrillation, even in situations where voice instructions are difficult to understand.

DESIGNED FOR REAL LIFE USE
Emergency use is as easy as one-two-three.
1. Press the green On/Off button for voice guidance
2. Place the electrodes on the patient as instructed
3. On command from the device, press the orange Shock button
