Excimer Laser System

The CVX-300 is an excimer laser system approved for use in minimally invasive interventional procedures on the cardiovascular system, as well as for removing problematic pacemaker and defibrillator wires. The CVX‑300 creates pulsed excimer radiation that is delivered to the target site using proprietary fiberoptic catheter technology.

In 2017, Philips, a front-rank provider of healthcare solutions, announced the acquisition of US-based Spectranetics company, a leader in coronary and peripheral vascular intervention equipment. Combination of the Philips’ innovations in medical imaging with the Spectranetics’ experience in the development of equipment for the treatment of heart and vascular diseases has opened up new possibilities and potential for expanding the product portfolio for all stages of the health continuum.
